You may apply for VASA membership if you are fourteen years of age or older and meet one of the following requirements:

  • You were born in Nordic country.
  • You are of Nordic ancestry.
  • You are the spouse of an active VASA member.
  • You are a non-Nordic widow or widower of a VASA member.
  • You are not of Nordic ancestry but are committed to the promotion and advancement of Swedish and Nordic heritage and culture.

Youth and children under the age of fourteen are always welcome to participate in Monitor Lodge activities and there are often activities specifically tailored for them.

All membership in VASA is through Local Lodges. To apply for membership, please contact Monitor Lodge by email or letter.  You can find a listing of all Local Lodges on the VASA website:

Click here for more information on how to apply for VASA Membership (includes link to PDF application form).   You will need to sign the printed form and either bring it to the Lodge meeting or mail it to the Lodge Secretary.   There is a $10 "Initiation Fee" that must accompany your Application for Membership.   Coordinate with the Local Lodge Secretary for the time and place of the meeting where initiation will occur.    Monitor Lodge's annual dues are currently $35.00 per active member.
