Check out our Facebook page
Chartered April 8, 1912 in Sacramento, Monitor Lodge #218-Sacramento is a local lodge of the Vasa Order of America, a Fraternal Society originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants more than a century ago, but now dedicated to preserving and sharing our Swedish and Nordic culture and heritage.
At our meetings, you will find an opportunity to socialize with fellow members of Nordic roots sharing common history and interests. Please check out our Calendar to find out more about our upcoming events and explore the rest of the website to learn more about the various things our Lodge has to offer.
Membership is open to men and women over 14 years of age of Nordic roots, (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish or Icelandic,) who would like to rediscover the traditions of their forefathers as well as those who are not of Nordic ancestry but are interested in Swedish and Nordic heritage and culture. What events are coming up in the next few weeks?
The next few weeks and months will be a challenge to us all as attending events and social contact will be significantly restricted. At the moment all Monitor-related in-person events through the end of March 2021 have been canceled.
The Lodge will be hosting virtual meetings using ZOOM at the normally scheduled meeting dates with the first meeting taking place on Friday, January 8, 2021 for the installation of new officers.
